The Cisco WAE-511 can be configured as a content engine in a Cisco ACNS deployment. It cannot be configured as a content distribution manager (CDM) for Cisco ACNS. For an additional software license cost, it can be configured as a file engine or core engine in a Cisco WAFS deployment or as core or edge engine for Cisco WAAS. Also for an additional cost, it can be configured as a Cisco WAAS Central Manager.
