What Green Means to us
The IT hardware industry has been found to be one of the leading contributors of toxic metals in ecosystems , carbon emissions, fossil fuel usage, hazardous chemical dispersal and prodigious consumption of raw materials worldwide. To transport and dispose of these 1-3 year old components takes an equally harmful toll on the world we live in, leaving roughly 40% of the raw materials of this hardware in the landfill to leach and corrupt the soil around it. Clearly this is not a sustainable model for the future.

We take these negative effects on the environment very seriously and have adapted ourselves to be the source for environmentally responsible solutions which will have the lightest impact on our land, seas, and on our future.
The way it works is simple, take the Cisco Catalyst 3750-48TS switch for instance. The 48 port 3750 switch according to Cisco has a MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) of 217,824 Hours of operation, that’s almost 25 years of being on night and day. Yet, despite the substantial longevity of this particular switch, it will only be used for an average of two years before it’s discarded. When we get a switch like this we take every precaution to eliminate any pre-existing configuration, wear and tear and fatigued components of the system. Leaving a switch that operates almost as well as the day it was made, and the best part is, we use relatively nothing in the way of resources compared to the manufacturing of a new switch. To ensure that we have done all that we can during this process we take into consideration the energy used while refurbishing the equipment, something that can add up. As an answer to this issue we actively use only local renewable energy sources such as geothermal, hydroelectric, and solar power to offset our day to day energy consumption.

And to show that we are truly committed to our customers, we warranty all of our products for one year after you purchase from us, offering next business day advanced replacement in the exceedingly rare case of a hardware issue.
