Application Migration
Whether you are transitioning between physical locations or from a physical to virtual infrastructure, it is the perfect time to greatly reduce unnecessary complexity and inefficient resource usage. With our team of experts we provide a three step process which not only assists and expedites your move but will also offer high level best practices during implementation as your applications and data are transitioned.
This will provide you with three key Services:
Resource Map and Analysis:
The Resource Map and Analysis Service offers an efficient approach for customers to obtain the data they need to minimize the risks associated with cloud services initiatives and provides the opportunity to optimize resources to reduce overall total cost of ownership (TCO). Atlantix Global approaches dependency mapping from multiple perspectives—server, network (IP and SAN), and business/applications. The service utilizes a holistic approach with a discovery process fine tuned to meet customer needs, as well as nonintrusive tools to collect relevant data. Depending on the engagement Atlantix may also help you to build business cases and pricing estimates to make the case for cloud migration.
Migration Planning:
We work with your IT staff to plan the migration of those elements. This includes connecting in-house components to the cloud through secure gateways, scheduling the migration, and selecting the optimal cloud resources for your business. Once all preparation has been completed, a clear step by step process for the actual migration will be provided.
Physical and Virtual Migration:
Working alongside your IT teams, we migrate the resources into on-demand platforms. This may be as simple as moving virtual machines into infrastructure clouds, or as advanced as migrating legacy data into large, distributed cloud storage. Whatever the need may be we will ensure that the process goes as smoothly as possible. Once completed, a summary of all services and collateral made during the project will be provided for review and future reference.
Key Benefits
• Non-disruptive data center migration — Consolidate and relocate data centers more quickly, more cost-effectively, and with less risk.
• Data center footprint reduction — Ensure more efficient use of data center floor space with server and storage consolidation, tiered network storage, and best practices.
• Simplified management — Gain management efficiencies and cost savings through asset consolidation.
• Increased asset utilization — Consolidate applications, servers, and storage to increase flexibility and reduce costs.
• Lower total cost of ownership — Reduce capital and operational costs through asset consolidation, floor space reduction, and lower energy consumption.
• Energy efficiency — Optimize energy consumption throughout your infrastructure and achieve green IT data center goals.
